John Crawford, piano/keys
IMA nominated musician John Crawford was born in London of English/Spanish Parents. His father played Blues piano, and this is the first thing he learnt to play. His mother would introduce him to Latin music of all kinds, and he has gone on to perform at Montreal Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Getxo Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scotts, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, the 606 club, and Royal Albert Hall amongst others. His 2012 release "Ulia River of Time" has been nominated in the USA by the Independent Music Awards for best album in the Jazz category. Alex Hutton, piano/keys
Alex tarted playing piano at the early age of 5. Early adult years were spent honing his craft in the city of Sheffield, a strong musical hub of the north. This led to tours across USA and Canada. After completing a BA Hons degree in American Studies, Hutton decided to turn his focus fully to Jazz piano. A successful performance on a regional TV Jazz competition, won the appraisal of the late Ronnie Scott who described Hutton as a ‘great British talent and a wonderfully natural pianist’. He has established himself as one of the leading pianists on the London Jazz scene. Terry is currently running and hosting many successful jazz nights in south west London and playing regularly at some of the best jazz venues in the South of England. Leo Appleyard, guitar
Leo is a London based jazz guitarist who has performed all over the Uk and Europe at venues and festivals including Ronnie Scotts, The Spice of Life, Charlie Wrights, The Blue Note (Dublin), Bagra jazz festival (Italy), Oldenburg jazz festival (Germany) and many others. In August 2013, he recorded his debut album, “Pembroke Road”. The album was released in September 2014 on the esteemed F-IRE records and features nine original compositions – honed over a ten year musical relationship with his band. Tracks from “Pembroke Road” were played on BBC3 Radio, Jazz FM and UK Jazz Radio as well as numerous online radio stations. Robin Banerjee, guitar
Robin studied at The Musicians Institute, Hollywood, California under the tuition of ledgendary Jazz/Fusion guitarist Scott Henderson. He has toured the world, playing extensively in Europe and U.S.A with artist Amy Winehouse, appearing also on her albums Back to Black (deluxe edition) - Amy Winehouse (2006), Live in London (dvd) – Amy Winehouse at Shepherds Bush Empire, (2007) and performing at Glastonbury's Pyramid and World stages in 2007. He has also toured with Jazz Jamaica, Rox, Hugh Masekela, Alex Wilson’s Salsa Orchestra and Denys Baptiste. |
Dave Jones, double bass and electric bass

He has performed with The Theo Travis Quartet and done many gigs with The B.B.C. Radio Big Band He plays and records with The Mick Foster Group featuring Jaqui Dankworth, The Pete Callard Quartet and Alison Bentley. He has also played with visiting American artists Harry Allen, Joe Temperley, Scott Hamilton, George Maseo, Peter Appleyard, Steve Hobbs, Marlene Verplank and hamonica virtuoso Howard Levy. He has recorded three albums with The Pete Cater Big Band which won the big band category in the P.O. British jazz awards and now tours nationally including appearances at Cadogan Hall. |

Since starting playing aged 10 in a Brisbane school marching band, Peter has worked with an amazing number of bands and artists including, in Australia, Matt Taylor and Mick Rogers (Manfred Mann’s Earth Band), Terry Hannagan, Mick Hadley and Max Merritt; in the UK, Dave Kelly’s RockSalt, Bob Hall, the Jo Ann Kelly Band, the Bob Bruning Band, Alexis Korner, Errol Dixon, Johnny Mars Band, Rocket 88 with Dick Morrissey, Jack Bruce, Don Weller, Paul Cox, Danny Adler Band, Paddy Milner, Gary Fletcher, Top Topham, Shakey Vick, Diz Watson, Daniel Smith Band, John Idan Band and Radical Sheikhs. Peter has also backed touring American Blues artists Big John Wrencher, Homesick James, Lightning Slim, JB Hutto, Dr Ross, Cousin Joe Pleasants and Eddie Guitar Burns. |
Tormod Sund, trumpet
Tormod started playing the trumpet at a young age with the local brass band in his hometown of Kongsvinger, Norway. When not performing with Noa, he can be heard all around London with the fantastic big band "Any Swing goes", where he has played in venues such as The 100 club and The Bull's Head. |
